I started this livejournal in 2001, when I was 20 years old. I am now 26 years old and a lot of things have changed since then. A lot of things remain the same as well- c'est la vie. September 11th happened shortly after I began this journal. At the time, I had a crush on a Taylor Hanson look a like who was in two of my classes and had a girlfriend. I also had no self esteem back then. I lived with my parents and after having several panic attacks (which are well documented on this journal), my sister helped me move to Paris for a year. I was an unhappy person back then and even though I was in the City of Lights, I struggled with many emotional issues and spent more time on LJ blogging than I did taking advantage of such an amazing opportunity. I ended up moving to Tallahassee, FL in 2004 and have been here for about four years. In that time, I worked on my emotional issues via counseling and therapy, wrote countless letters to the love of my life who was in a very bad situation, got more attractive and developed a better sense of self-esteem, eventually got laid (took forever though), finally graduated college, got my first full time job, and lived with a boy for the very first time. He has recently moved out and I have come back to livejournal, not only to once again explore my emotions, but to just get back in touch with myself after being absorbed in someone else's life for seven months. I am hoping to continue my education in either social work or Psychology, possibly move to New York for a year, and volunteer in India/Africa in the next couple of years. Life today has a lot more promise than it did seven years ago when I started this journal.
